 Helloo Everyone!
Happy Easter to you all - but I see there's no-one on-line along with me!
Went to Sorrento, southern Italy, for our annual October visit and had a good time until 2 days before we came home. My beloved Korat cat, William, became ill and sadly had to be put to sleep. It was one of the most awful experiences of my life...
This coming 15th October is my 50th birthday - eeekkk!! So, David and I have decided to go back to Egypt again - a lazy, sun, sea and sand holiday in Hurghada, on the beautiful Red Sea Coast. We only had a short time there last May/June so 2 weeks will be fantastic. Also, with it being the 1st anniversary of William's death, I don't think I could cope with going to Sorrento, even tho' I adore the place and we usually go every year, for my birthday.
We hope to visit Abu Simbel and go to Sinai to St Katherine's monastery and Mt.Sinai - the 'mountain of God' - Moses and the burning bush and Ten Commandments etc. There willl also be chance to go on a camel trek into the desert and have a meal with the bedouin and watch the sunset from the sand dunes - romantic!
It's something to really look forward to over the next few months.

Hi all,
Sorry to cause you frustration Kim, but we are going back to Malaysia again this year.
Langkawi is a tropical island full of wildlife and plenty of Spas as well as being Duty Free.
They do some pretty terrific fruit juice drinks there and the water is safe to drink.
It has a very strong Eco Tourism policy and Chris had a good time on a Mangrove Swamp trip feeding Wild Fish eagles and stroking Sharks.
We could do with a porter if you feel the need to volunteer.

haven't been on-line for a while so missed your postings!
Well, I wish I could fit you all in my suitcase, or be able to afford to pay for you all to come with me/us!
Only 4 months to go now to our trip to Egypt - oh yes, and my 50th birthday!
Kim, I don't feel 50 - apart from which, 50 is the new 30! I think I stayed at 17 to be honest - just wish my body had too!
Will have to send an up to date posting, as lots of things have changed 'chez Hawkins' over the past few months. It's good to hear from everyone anyway.
I have some wonderful news - for me anyway! - my 16 year old Korat (cat), Benjie, gained her Imperial Grand Premier title on Saturday - not an easy achievement by any means and for a cat in her twilight years she has been astounding! I can't stop hugging her!
Hope to get back 'into' things soon,
