Hello to Everyone,To anyone who reads this site my prayers are for you and your loved ones. Maybe someday, we will all find relief, peace and happiness. Until then all we can do is pray and ask questions. Has anyone received treatment or researched PRFN for LPHS? Please let us know. I hope that there is a great response to this question.Good Luck to All.Carnivalman

Hi Frank,
Sorry it has been a long time.
The only reference I have for PRFN is this link which may be of use.

PRFN

It sounds like the treatment Jori had in Wisconsin and should not be confused with RFA which is a similar treatment using microwaves to sever the nerves.
The full name of PRFN is Pulsed Radio Frequency Neurotomy and RFA is Radio Frequency Ablation.
Both of these are Microwave therapy and as you will see from the page I have linked you to it is being used in a variety of ways.

Regards
John

Had a caeliac plexus block trial with 10 hours pain relief!  They may be able to offer a more permanent drug.  As you can imagine I couldn't stop smiling in recovery & was wheeled back to the ward without the agony that this would have induced previously!  Looking forward to hearing more from the pain Consultant at the Royal Free hospital in London.
