Dear All,As a seasoned hospital attendee (on average once every 5 weeks) I just wanted to ask if we could all help in educating the medical profession about LPHS & other kidney related disorders by taking some literature about it with us when we go to hospital. Most health professionals have not come across it before so rather than receiving inappropriate & poor care we can help them to provide appropriate & good care. It's also a good idea to take computer copies of medical & surgical history, drug intollerances/allergies, a list of investigations to date plus the info on LPHS facts & recommended care. It's hard remembering all of this when in agony.Dr. Hebert in the USA has circulated a recommended care plan & I wish I had had that to show the doctors a long time ago.We can be involved in setting up local care policies for people suffering from whatever condition we suffer from & presentations from patients are always welcome at Kidney conferences.Best wishes fromAlison

Dear All,

As a seasoned hospital attendee (on average once every 5 weeks) I just wanted to ask if we could all help in educating the medical profession about LPHS & other kidney related disorders by taking some literature about it with us when we go to hospital. It's hard remembering all of this when in agony.

Dr. Hebert in the USA has circulated a recommended care plan & I wish I had had that to show the doctors a long time ago.

We can be involved in setting up local care policies for people suffering from whatever condition we suffer from & presentations from patients are always welcome at Kidney conferences.

Best wishes from

Alison

Alison, Is there a chance that you might have a copy of Dr. Hebert's recommended care plan that you could email me?

Thanks,
Connie
