Hi Everyone!thought I'd just bring a little sunshine and dreams into your lives - maybe hold offyour pain for a while too and tell you about David and I going to Egypt, in May.On 16th May, at 11am, in Selby Abbey (Selby, North Yorkshire, UK), David and I will be renewing our marriage vows - it is our 25th (Silver) Wedding Anniversary. It was David who first suggested renewing our vows and as it was something I'd thought about doing, but didn't think he'd want to, I said 'yes please!'We decided to have a second honeymoon as well - I think we deserve one! I have always wanted to go on a cruise but the ones we looked at either didn't appeal, or were far too expensive. Then, we wondered about Egypt, as we've both wanted to go for a long, long time and I found out that you could do Nile Cruises! So, here is our itinerary, read and enjoy!Day 1) fly to Hurghada, on Red Sea Coast, for 3 nights at a 5 star hotel in a de-luxe room! There is swimming, aquaerobics, shopping arcade, massage, and horse riding available + other amenities, but those are the ones I'm interested in!Day 4) transfer to the cruiseship, in Luxor, for the Nile Cruise - 8 days of luxury in a superior suite, with picture window view of the Nile etc.Day 5) sail to the West Bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings (tombs of the Pharaohs) and the Temple of Hatshepsut (first female Paroah) and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon we visit the East Bank to see the Temples of Luxor and Karnak.Day 6) day on board ship and a Light and Sound show at Karnak Temple in the evening.Day 7) sail to Aswan, visiting Edfu Temple (Horus) on the way. See Kom Ombo and Sobek Temple.Day 8) visit Philae Temple (Isis) and High Dam in Aswan. Afternoon traditional Felucca sail on Nile.Day 9) another leisurely day on board ship, with optional early morning excursion to Abu Simbel - Temple of Rameses I).Day 10) morning sail to Luxor, via Esna. Our last full day on board ship to relax andenjoy all the facilities.Day 11) fly to Cairo for a 2 night stay, visit Pyramids of Giza, Sphynx, Museum of Antiquities (including Tutankhamun's Death mask), Khan-al-Khalili bazaar, and a camel ride!Days 12 - 14) back to the hotel in Hurghada to enjoy rest of our stay, then home!!Can hardy wait!!Helen x

Thank you so much for sharing with us. It is refreshing to hear someone that has suffered as long as you have and you have not let this nasty monster take away everything in your life. I also love to hear that you and your husband still have such a deep love for each other even though it is so hard living with somone that has a chronic illness. I will keep you in my prayres that everything goes well before and during your trip. I will allso pray that you are as pain free as you can be during this wonderful break that you will be taking.
