Hi all, Whilst I can see the reason whilst the boards have been quiet(the adverts etc), I know that this is vacation/holiday time and things usually go quiet now, so if you are off on your travels I wish you a good time and let us hear about your trip. Chris and I are off to Singapore and Langkawi in early September and are hoping that we will not have to write a report on the Medical system in those areas when we return. All the best John.

Dear Everyone,

hope you have all had a good summer, or as good as you can get, with LPHS.

As some of you may remember, David and i celebrated our 25th (Silver) Wedding Anniversary, on 16th May, by renewing our marriage vows. The Service was held at 11am, Selby Abbey, Selby, North Yorkshire - exact time and date 25yrs ago!

We had a fantastic day with our families - 8, from David's family came up, from South Wales and 3 from my family, who live in Selby. What was especially nice for David and I was that the majority of the congregation were our friends, many who didn't know us when we were first married.

Our special friend, Peter, took the official photos and they are wonderful - John, if you read this, how do I send them to the LPHS site?

As I have no close male relative to 'give me away' again, my very special friend, Wendy, walked down the aisle with me. She was so thrilled to be asked. She also did the Reading - Corinthians 1-13 - and made my bridal bouquet and her posy - red, yellow and cream roses, with lovely greenery. My dress was ivory white satin (pale cream), with full length ivory satin gloves. I also wore home crafted ivory satin, Victorian style, boots. They fit like a glove! My tiara was specially made too - gold headband/crystals and coffee, cream and white feathers - 1920's style. I also wore the jewellery that David bought me - a Peridot necklace and matching earrings. He bought them for me at the Lancashire Cat Club show, mid March. Frank and Benjie both gained their first Imperial Grand Champion/Premier awards. Actually, it was Benjie's second IGCC!

We went to Egypt for our 'second honeymoon', on a Nile Cruise and to visit Cairo. It was a fantstic holiday, but very tiring! However, I saw so many interesting things and places.

Best wishes,

helen xx
